Background of Palashbari upazila

In 1919, the Gobindaganj police outpost was upgraded to a police station. It is known in folklore that Palashbari was named after Palashful as there was a garden of Palashful in that place. The importance of Palashbari Sadar has increased a lot as it is located at the junction of Rangpur-Bogra and Gaibandha to Ghoraghat roads.
