Geographical introduction

Location, boundaries.:

The geographical location of this upazila is situated on the right bank of Brakshaputra river in Gaibandha district of North Bengal, between 25.03 to 25.39 north latitude and between 69.12 to 69.42 east longitude. To the north of this upazila are Pirganj upazila of Rangpur district and Sadulapur upazila of Gaibandha district. It is bounded on the south by Gobindganj upazila, on the east by Gaibandha Sadar and Saghata upazilas, and on the west by Osmanpur district of Dinajpur district.
